In the context of energy efficiency, CATL’s new factory requires intelligent upgrades to its power distribution system. The intelligent power distribution system integrates and applies IoT, big data, and cloud computing technologies to upgrade the system, enabling 24/7 remote online monitoring of electrical equipment circuits and environmental conditions, thereby improving the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the power distribution system. Traditional power distribution systems suffer from low operational efficiency, high failure rates, and high maintenance costs, making intelligent power distribution an effective solution to these issues. This includes leveraging IoT technology to achieve interconnectivity among various devices in the power distribution system, allowing real-time data acquisition and transmission of equipment status, power consumption, voltage, and more. In the event of data anomalies in any workshop, the system can execute fault diagnosis, report to the server, and perform real-time monitoring, early warning, fault diagnosis, and recovery, ultimately optimizing scheduling and decision-making in the long term.
Traditional PLC systems lack IoT capabilities. In contrast, our PN gateway comes with built-in 4G, Ethernet, and WiFi communication capabilities, and can also interface with existing PLCs via RS-485 communication. This allows for bidirectional communication between the data and the server over the network.
After implementation, the intelligent power distribution system can display data from each workshop on the server’s interface, enabling staff to issue commands at any time to control field devices according to custom logic, achieving remote centralized management.
